Hardy Family

Wednesday, April 08, 2009

All of the weather reports said rain and possibly wind for Wednesday’s fishing trip with the Hardy family. This trip including Heath Hardy (Dad), Sarah and Jessica (daughters) and Don (Grandpa). We arrived in the morning to a few clouds and light wind with no rain at all. So far the day had already turned out better than I had imagined. We got on the water and quickly started catching Bass first thing with a few doubles on the boat. From the wind the previous day the water did drop a little bit to 62, but did get up to 64 by later that day. As the morning progressed the wind picked up ever so slightly but soon balanced out with the tides and currents. We fished only 2 spots for half the day which both produced good bites on Barred Sand Bass and Spotted Sand Bass. All plastics being used were Reebs Lures with a little Uni Butter in the mix. Brown and Pearl with a light yellow stripe was the key lure for the whole trip. Overall they caught around 10 Spotties and 25 Sand Bass. The kids really seemed to enjoy the day with Jessica (7 years old) catching her first fish ever!
Some photos below of the fun…

I had a great time taking out the Hardy family and look forward to hopefully seeing them again in the Summer.

Until the next report, tight lines!
