I had the pleasure of taking back out Rick Adams along with his son-in-law Brad to fish the back bay and see if the Bonefish wanted to cooperate with us. The rain came down all night and the whole time I drove the boat over to pick them up at the dock in Coronado. But as soon as they got on the boat the rain let up and off we went. It seemed like it was raining all around us the whole morning, but never really got to us. Even took a picture of how dark some of the clouds were around us.
The Bonefish did not play due to the water temperature dropping from the weather/wind. But, we still managed 9 different species of fish and broke the 30 fish mark for sure! Nothing huge, but great consistent fun! We caught Halibut, Spotted Bass, Sand Bass, Turbot, Black Croaker, Mackerel, Lizard Fish, Yellowfish Croaker and Smelt.
It was a great day on the water and Ricks Birthday! His good Karma must have kept the rain away.
Until the next report, tight lines!
